Quality work, a little slower than we planned

Rahul Iyer / Head of Engineering | Aug 03, 2026

The final product works well for us, although the process could have been smoother. They took the time to understand our business before suggesting anything, which we appreciated after previous agencies jumped straight into building. They were upfront about what was realistic within our budget, which helped us prioritise the right features.

Since launch, everything has been stable and our team has adapted to it quickly. Their team changed one developer midway, which slowed things down for a couple of weeks. We are already discussing the next phase with them.

Project summary

A Thinking Ape was brought in to set up a data warehouse and reporting layer for our leadership team. The work covered requirements, design, development, testing and launch support. Overall it was a 3-month engagement.

Delivered on time and stayed involved after launch

Charlotte Lloyd / Co-Founder & CTO | May 15, 2026

Overall we had a good experience working with A Thinking Ape. They were upfront about what was realistic within our budget, which helped us prioritise the right features. They took the time to understand our business before suggesting anything, which we appreciated after previous agencies jumped straight into building. We dealt with the same core team throughout, so we did not have to keep re-explaining things.

We are already seeing better numbers than before the project. Documentation at handover was a bit thin and we had to ask for more detail. If you need a team that communicates well and delivers, they are a good choice.

Good value and a team that genuinely cares about the result
